Which EOR providers sponsor work visas
Whether each tracked employer of record can get the person it employs for you a work visa or permit, where, at what price and how fast, as its own pages state it, and which providers' UK companies are licensed by the Home Office to sponsor workers. Every entry links to the page that says it; where we found nothing on a provider's public pages, we say so.
Of the 85 EOR providers we track, 65 say on their own pages that they obtain or sponsor work visas or permits for the people they employ for you and 3 that a partner delivers it; for 17 we found nothing about it on their public pages. The widest stated reach is 190+ countries (Acumen International), and only 6 publish a price for the visa service.
An EOR's country list says where it can employ someone, not where it can get them a visa. The monthly fee is on the EOR price list, the upfront cash on deposits and fees, and each country's employment rules on its country page.

UK Skilled Worker visas through an EOR
The UK spells its rule out. In an EOR hire the provider is the legal employer while the work is done for you, and the Home Office's sponsor guidance (Workers and Temporary Workers: guidance for sponsors, Part 2: Sponsor a worker, version of 2026-10-08) says this about a worker who does a job for another organisation:
S1.34 “Where a person is, or will be, working on a contract basis (being supplied as labour by one organisation to another), the sponsor must be whoever has full responsibility for all of the duties, functions and outcomes or outputs of the job the worker will be doing.”
S1.36 “You cannot sponsor a worker if you will not have full responsibility for all the duties, functions and outcomes or outputs of the job they will be doing, or if either: the job amounts to the hiring out of the worker to another organisation (third party) who is not the sponsor to fill a position with them, whether temporary or permanent, regardless of any genuine contract between you and the third party”
S1.38 “If we find you are supplying the worker, or workers, as labour to another organisation to undertake a routine role or you do not have full responsibility for their duties, functions and outcomes or outputs, we will revoke your licence.”
So before you rely on an EOR for a UK Skilled Worker visa, ask it in writing who will hold responsibility for the job's duties and outcomes, and how its arrangement meets these paragraphs. If your company has a UK entity, it can apply for a sponsor licence of its own.
Providers whose UK company holds a sponsor licence
On the UK Home Office register of licensed sponsors: workers (edition of 2026-10-09, read 2026-10-10), these UK companies of tracked providers hold a worker licence. Each is tied to its provider by the provider's own page or by the company's controller on Companies House. A licence lets the company sponsor workers; it does not show that the provider uses it for the people it employs for clients.

What to ask before you rely on an EOR for a visa
- Can you sponsor this visa type in this country for this person, and will your local entity be the sponsor named on the permit?
- What does it cost in total: your service fee, any monthly fee while the visa is active, government fees, translations and legal costs?
- How long does it take, and can the person start work before the permit is granted?
- Who handles renewals and dependants' visas, and what happens to the visa if the employment, or your contract with the EOR, ends?
- Does the visa tie the person to the EOR as employer, and can they move to your own entity later without starting again?
- For the UK: how does the arrangement meet the Home Office rules on sponsoring a worker who does the job for another organisation?
EOR visa sponsorship FAQ
Can an employer of record sponsor a work visa?
Many can, in some countries. Of the 85 employer of record providers BestEOR.co tracks, 65 say on their own pages that they obtain or sponsor work visas or permits for the people they employ for you, and 3 that a partner delivers it. For 17 we found nothing either way on their public pages. 29 state that they are the sponsor on the permit as the employer of record. Availability is country by country, so confirm the exact country, visa type and timeline before you make an offer. Read from each provider's own pages between October 10 and October 17, 2026.
Which EOR providers sponsor visas in the most countries?
Among providers that state a number, the widest are Acumen International, 190+ countries; TopSource Worldwide, 164 countries (global mobility services); Skuad (Payoneer), 160+ countries (its mobility services); Tarmack, 150+ countries; Mauve Group, 150+ countries (its visa and immigration service). 50 of the 68 providers that offer visa support say where it is available; the rest decide per country or per case. A country appearing on a provider's EOR coverage list does not mean it can get a visa there.
How much does EOR visa sponsorship cost?
Few providers publish it. 6 of the 85 publish a price for their visa service, 4 say it is included in the EOR fee, and 23 say it is priced separately or on request without a figure. The published prices: Tarmack, from $999 per work permit or visa; RemotePeople (formerly Horizons), $199/mo base plus government fees (visa page); Native Teams, per country, for example £8,200 for a UK Skilled Worker permit; RemotePass, from $549/mo (Visa Sponsorship add-on); Acclime, US$3,500 per work permit, US$800 per dependant visa (Malaysia); Plane, $2,000 setup plus $200/mo while the visa lasts. Government filing fees, translations and legal costs usually come on top, and a monthly management fee can apply for as long as the sponsored visa is active, so ask for the full cost and the timeline in writing.
Can an EOR sponsor a UK Skilled Worker visa?
The Home Office's sponsor guidance restricts sponsoring someone who does the job for another organisation, which is how an EOR hire works. It says the sponsor "must be whoever has full responsibility for all of the duties, functions and outcomes or outputs of the job" (S1.34), that a sponsor cannot sponsor a worker where "the job amounts to the hiring out of the worker to another organisation (third party) who is not the sponsor to fill a position with them" (S1.36), and that it will revoke the licence of a sponsor found supplying workers as labour for a routine role (S1.38). 8 tracked providers say on their own pages that they can sponsor UK Skilled Worker visas, while Rippling, Safeguard Global and Teamed say an EOR generally cannot, or that they do not. Ask any EOR that offers UK sponsorship how its arrangement meets those paragraphs, or sponsor the worker through your own UK company. Quoted from the version of October 8, 2026.
Which EOR providers hold a UK sponsor licence?
On the Home Office register of licensed sponsors (edition of October 9, 2026), the UK companies of 15 tracked providers hold a worker licence: Acumen International, Deel, Employment Hero, Hawksford, Mauve Group, Multiplier, Parakar, Playroll, Remote, Rippling, Safeguard Global, TMF Group, TopSource Worldwide, Velocity Global (Pebl) and Vistra. Each company is tied to its provider by the provider's own pages or by Companies House. A licence lets a company sponsor workers; it does not show that the provider uses it for the people it employs for clients, so ask.
Can an EOR sponsor an H-1B visa?
What the providers say varies. Acumen International: says it takes on visa and work permit sponsorship for expatriate staff it employs in the US. Skuad (Payoneer): offers US work permit and visa services only to companies that use it as their EOR. Tarmack: its glossary says it helps secure H-1B visas by acting as sponsor and petitioner. Deel: its country list includes US O-1, L-1, H-1B, TN and E-2 visas, 6 to 12 months. RemotePass: its US work visa guide says it manages work permits and visa sponsorship end to end. NES Fircroft: manages the full US and Canadian immigration process, including sponsorship support. NNRoad: says US visa applications and sponsorship analysis are separate services from its standard EOR. Safeguard Global: says an EOR is not a general path to US visa sponsorship. Justworks, Rippling, Velocity Global (Pebl) and G-P (Globalization Partners) present their EOR as an alternative instead: employ the person where they live, so no US visa is needed.
